Pen Y Clun Engine House

The Welsh Mines Preservation Trust has been awarded a 100% grant of £38,000 by Cadw for conservation work on the Engine House at Pen-y-Clun, near Llanidloes, Powys.  Click here for more details



'Spirit of the Miners'

The Welsh Mines Preservation Trust are working in association with the 'Spirit of the Miners' initiative - a community regeneration project that sets out to create an identity for northern Ceredigion on using the legacy of metal mining as a theme for regeneration.



About the Welsh Mines Preservation Trust

The Welsh Mines Preservation Trust was formed in 1992, by members of the Welsh Mines Society out of need for a recognised 'charitable' body which was able to secure funding for, and provide advice upon, the conservation & preservation of mining remains in Wales and the Welsh Borders.
