Welsh Mines Society Cymdeithas Mwyngloddiau Cymru

As to the programme of events, this was as follows:

•  Saturday, 17^th June - Nant y Car North and Cwm Elan.

Met at the car park in the quarry, at the top of Caban Coch Dam, (NGR SN 924 646), for an 11:00 am departure to Nant y Car North (NGR SN 891 618).  After visiting Nant y Car North we moved on to Cwm Elan mine, (NGR SN 901 651), reached after a 20-30 min walk, where lunch was taken.

•  Saturday Evening - The evening meal, view menu, was 7:00pm for 7:30pm at The Elan Hotel.  (View location map)

•  Sunday, 18^th June - Dalrhiw, Nant y Car South and Nantygarw.

Met again at the car park in the quarry at the top of Caban Coch Dam, (NGR SN 924 646), and departed about 10:15am for Dalrhiw (NGR SN 885 607), Nant y Car South (NGR SN 885 609), and Nantygarw (NGR SN 874 606), which involves a walk of 2-3 miles.  A packed lunch again was the order of the day.
